2005 Track Champion Jason Tufaro Hobby Stocks are the traditional low-cost entry level for stock car racing that is returning to Sandia Motor Speedway in 2008. Although, like all race cars at Sandia, the cars are equipped with modern safety equipment such as full roll cages and 5 way racing safety harnesses, the division specifications are designed to keep the cars as simple and inexpensive as possible. The stock V-8 motors may use only two barrel carburetors, and suspension weight jackers are not permitted.
